The Maxwell® 16 FFPE Plus LEV DNA Purification Kit is used with the Maxwell® 16 Instrument configured with the low elution volume (LEV) hardware (Cat.# AS2000 or AS3000), and is specifically designed for purification of DNA from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples. The purified DNA is suitable for amplification applications including qPCR. However, tissue that has been stored in formalin for extended periods of time may be extensively cross-linked and/or too degraded to extract amplifiable DNA.
