Purified from bovine plasma and activated by treatment with an enzyme from Russell's viper venom. Factor Xa Protease preferentially cleaves after the arginine residue in the amino acid sequence Ile-Glu-Gly-Arg.

Recommended Reaction Buffer: 20mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.4), 0.1M NaCl.
