Kazusa Collection

Kazusa Genome Technology (KGT)

Kazusa Genome Technology (KGT) is an academic Japanese research institute dedicated to genome-scale studies and the function of individual genes. The Kazusa ORFeome Project was initiated to create a collection of human and mouse ORFs accessible to the larger research community. KGT is an active member of the global ORFeome Collaboration with experts in HUGE (Human Unidentified Gene-Encoded) large proteins (>4kb). Promega and KGT have established a partnership, allowing Promega customers access to Kazusa's coveted collection of experimentally validated clones.

Experimentally Validated Collection

Kazusa understands the value of extensive validation and provides this data to their customers for the HaloTag® ORF collection. Check out the representative data pieces below, which are available for nearly all HaloTag® fusion ORFs.

The HaloTag® human full-length ORF clones are available as single clones through FindMyGene™, as custom panels of functionally related genes, or as the entire 11000+ HaloTag® ORF clone library. Clone panels are supplied as purified plasmid DNA (100ng/µl in TE buffer, 20µl per well) in heat-sealed 96-well plates, with the same high-quality standards applied to all HaloTag® ORF clones. Clone panels are also available in 96-well matrix plates composed of 96 individually capped 2D-bar-coded tubes uniquely numbered to allow ORF clone handling either as individual tubes one-at-a-time, or all-at-once as an entire library/panel using an automated liquid handler. For a complete clone list or to discuss custom panel options, contact your Promega sales representative or Promega Technical Services.

All orders are accompanied by detailed documentation that describes the location of each clone. All clones were end-sequenced to ensure greater than 99.9% accuracy for clone position and correspondence to tube ID. Gene categorization was based primarily on Gene Ontology (GO) annotations. Additional information for some of the ORF categories was obtained from various review articles and other publicly available databases.
